I awoke to reports of 16 plus inches on the mountain and more to come. I just had to play "hooky" and hit the mountains and verify the 16 plus inches. Well it was verified for sure and I made sure of that. I scrambled all over the mountain hitting my favorite spots and yep trust me there was at least 16 inches but more realistic estimate would be well over 20 inches. With the snow still falling.
So the ski season has been saved. I got the day I have been desiring since the beginning of the season. More to come over the next couple of days as I steal away from work some more.
I need to thank my wife, who encouraged me to go. My original plans were to stay home and tend to her and watch Sapphire. Emma is currently battling the stomach bug and I figured she would need my help today with Sapphie. BUT instead she turned to me this morning and told me to go "You have not had any days like this, this year" that was all I needed to hear and I was off in the truck headed to the mountain for a day of powda turns. By the way my new skis I bought just for a day like today, ROCK. Thanks Bobby. MidWest Represent.
I will post some pictures of the day but the pictures were on my phone which I accidentally dropped in the bath tub when I was giving Sapphire her bath tonight. Lets pray that it is okay.
Get out and enjoy the SNOW. Because soon the Sap will be running in the hills and Spring Tulips are just around the corner. Mother Nature decided we needed a couple of more days to play in the Snow. Good Bless Her, I certainly do.

Way Over Due (by Kevin)
The Snow Gods have answered the prayers of many. The snow dances have finally paid off. I or we got the day a lot have been dreaming about. Blower Powda that was knee deep in most spots and if you hunted like I did today thigh deep in other spots. The ski season has been pretty dismal until today. It was almost March and I still did not have that true powder day yet marked on the calendar and then it arrived. You know how there are things in life that with one change of events everything is better in the world and you forget about how things were looking so bad. Well today was the day that turned my ski season around. It went from bad to excellent in a few turns.
